Having followed the 2005 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve from barrel and tasted it several times in bottle, this tasting reaffirmed it as a hallmark Rayas, arguably one of the finest during the late Emmanuel Reynaud’s stewardship of the domaine. The nose is quintessential Rayas: an exuberant burst of kirsch layered with stemmy nuances, dried rosemary, sage and a medley of dried red fruits. On the full-bodied palate it shows energy and concentration in a seamless frame of silky tannins, which are remarkably refined within the context of a vintage otherwise marked by edgier textures. The finale is long, spicy and superbly poised with effortless balance. Slowly entering its prime drinking window, the 2005 Rayas promises at least two more decades of pleasure. Storage

We store in LCB Dinton Woods, giving us full control over our stock and client reserves.

The annual charge is £12.50 per 12x75cl (or £6.25 per 6x75cl). To store your wine collection at our Dinton Woods facility, please contact us for a quote.

Delivery

Goods will be delivered to the address provided at order placement, provided it is a shippable address. We reserve the right to cancel orders to non-shippable addresses (e.g., USA dry states).

For UK delivery addresses outside mainland UK (e.g., Scottish Isles, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands), an additional delivery charge may apply. We will contact you with a quote.

Some international delivery addresses may incur additional surcharges. We will contact you with a quote.

We have no control over additional charges or supply restrictions applied by authorities in the destination area.

When placing your order, you may provide delivery instructions in case you are not available to receive the goods.

We require that goods be signed for or accepted by a responsible adult legally able to accept the goods.

Every effort will be made to deliver within 10 days; however, in rare cases, this may be longer.

Orders must be inspected at delivery, and any shortages or breakages should be reported to the carrier immediately before accepting the goods.
