Tasting Notes
Vinous 90
The 2016 Belle-Vue feels just a little reduced on the nose and demands some aeration: quite intense black cherries, blueberry and boysenberry jam, ebbing away to reveal more marine-like influences. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, good acidity, very smooth and harmonious and, though there is a fair "slap" of new oak on the finish, it feels simpatico with the fruit. Give this two or three years in the cellar. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.
