Tasting Notes
Vinous 90-92
(from the lieu-dit Francemont): Pale yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of pear, pineapple, lichee, menthol and exotic flowers, plus a hint of orange zest. Round and broad in the mouth, showing a silkier texture to buffer its acidity than some of the foregoing wines here. Flavors of ripe lemon candy and flowers offer considerable appeal already. The tactile, rising finish shows the energy of white soil.
Burghound 90-92
Firm reduction flattens the underlying fruit. By contrast there is excellent volume to the muscular medium-bodied flavors that possess an attractive sense of tension that adds lift to the opulent but not heavy finish where a hint of bitter lemon peel arises.
