Tasting Notes
Burghound 88-91
A discreet dollop of wood sets off the overtly floral-suffused nose of kirsch and freshly crushed red berries. The delicious and velvet-textured medium-bodied flavors possess a seductive mid-palate that contrasts markedly with the somewhat raspy bitter chocolate-inflected finale. This is both finer and more complex than the Mazeray but it’s not quite as well-balanced.
