The Chateau L’If 2014, the Saint Emilion estate that Jacques Thienpont and Fiona Morrison MW bought in 2010, is a blend of 91% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc picked between 9 and 17 October, aged in 50% new oak and 50% one-year old. The nose offers up enticing licorice scents: detailed, vivacious and fresh with plenty of black fruit mixed with black olive. The palate is tightly wound with chalky tannin, that licorice note continuing through to the finish that is linear and crisp. This is an splendid Saint Emilion unapologetically elegant in style, one that as Jacques himself quipped, is the kind of bottle you finish. This is a very impressive Saint Emilion…in fact, comparing them side-by-side it might be just as good as Le Pin! [Neal Martin, 02/04/2015]

We store in LCB Dinton Woods, giving us full control over our stock and client reserves.

The annual charge is £12.50 per 12x75cl (or £6.25 per 6x75cl). To store your wine collection at our Dinton Woods facility, please contact us for a quote.

Delivery

Goods will be delivered to the address provided at order placement, provided it is a shippable address. We reserve the right to cancel orders to non-shippable addresses (e.g., USA dry states).

For UK delivery addresses outside mainland UK (e.g., Scottish Isles, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands), an additional delivery charge may apply. We will contact you with a quote.

We have no control over additional charges or supply restrictions applied by authorities in the destination area.

When placing your order, you may provide delivery instructions in case you are not available to receive the goods.

We require that goods be signed for or accepted by a responsible adult legally able to accept the goods.

Every effort will be made to deliver within 10 days; however, in rare cases, this may be longer.

Orders must be inspected at delivery, and any shortages or breakages should be reported to the carrier immediately before accepting the goods.
