Tasting Notes

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois 2009 tasting in London. The Dutruch Grand-Poujeaux 2009 has a refined, well delineated bouquet with freshness and vitality. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very harmonious with a composed finish demonstrating succinct use of oak and top-class winemaking. Bravo! Tasted September 2011.

39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 56% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Sweet and a bit ordinary. No one will object but will anyone enthuse? Astringent finish.
Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018
