Tasting Notes

Vinous 91

Dullish medium red. Perfumed aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, smoke, leather and loam; smells deep! Then dense, solid and sweet, with very good vinosity and intensity to its soil-driven flavors of cherry, minerals and spicy underbrush. Plump but with a light touch. Finishes with a broad, fine dusting of tannins and good mineral persistence. This has turned out very well. [Stephen Tanzer, 03/01/2009]

Burghound 90

The ample wood this displayed from barrel has now been almost completely eaten and now features ripe and mostly red pinot fruit with a trace of blue berry that continues onto the beautifully concentrated flavors that possess a sophisticated mouth feel on the supple, round and serious finish where the wood no longer resurfaces. This is delicious if not profound and should make for a lovely wine in 4 to 6 years but unlike the Bressandes, there is enough mid-palate fat that this could be approached now with pleasure though be sure to give it at least an hour’s airing as there is a touch of youthful asperity present just now. We store in LCB Dinton Woods, giving us full control over our stock and client reserves.

The annual charge is £12.50 per 12x75cl (or £6.25 per 6x75cl). To store your wine collection at our Dinton Woods facility, please contact us for a quote.

Delivery

Goods will be delivered to the address provided at order placement, provided it is a shippable address. We reserve the right to cancel orders to non-shippable addresses (e.g., USA dry states).

For UK delivery addresses outside mainland UK (e.g., Scottish Isles, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands), an additional delivery charge may apply. We will contact you with a quote.

Some international delivery addresses may incur additional surcharges. We will contact you with a quote.

We have no control over additional charges or supply restrictions applied by authorities in the destination area.

When placing your order, you may provide delivery instructions in case you are not available to receive the goods.

Every effort will be made to deliver within 10 days; however, in rare cases, this may be longer.
