Tasting Notes
Jasper Morris 93
This bottle travelled with Eric from Burgundy. Beautiful vibrant ruby colour, explosive peony fruit, more character than the bruised peaches often typical of the vintage. Succulent, rounded gorgeous. This does not sit in the classic line, showing maybe some heat at the end, but not enough to take away the pleasure. Tasted Nov 2016.
Burghound 87-89
The freshest nose to this point with exuberant, pure and very pretty red pinot fruit nuanced by spice, earth and subtle underbrush notes that give way to supple, easy and very forward middle weight flavors that don’t quite possess the same degree of finishing complexity as the Caz and this is a bit shorter as well.
