Tasting Notes
Vinous 85-88
Spicy blackberry, black cherry, cocoa and a floral note on the nose. Supple and chunky; not particularly delineated or complex but chewy, ripe and chocolatey. Finishes with slightly dry tannins but appears to have enough supporting mid-palate material. A good effort. Graves
Robert Parker 86
Tasted blind at Farr’s 2002 Bordeaux tasting. Another wine that upturns its barrel showing, the La Tour Carnet has a ripe blackberry, boysenberry, and tobacco-scented bouquet with good definition. Strawberry wine gums. Medium-bodied, rounded in texture with well-integrate vanillary new oak, leading to a glossy raspberry, strawberry, corpulent finish that flatters the wine more than its should. Fine. Tasted October 2009.

Low-key nose with great density. Solid. A bit austere. Not the lift and juice of Ch Bernadotte.
Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018
