Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 91
Tasted blind at David Wainwright’s 40th bacchanal in Brighton. This has a deep garnet core with foursquare blackberry, pain grille, scorched earth and cassis aromas developing. Quite tight, opening nicely in the glass. The palate is very ripe, slightly furry tannins though, surprisingly a little puppy fat! Good concentration, cassis and black plum, firm structure towards the opulent finish, if lacking the complexity it aspires to. Still, a very attractive drop that would benefit from a little more cellaring. Drink 2010-2020. Tasted June 2009.
Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020
