Tasting Notes
Vinous 94
The 1995 Krug is gorgeous. I chose it because one of my guests loves Krug and I thought the 1995 would have the right amount of complexity to pair beautifully with the smokiness in Saison s caviar. Although the 1995 Krug is not a truly epic wine, it is in a sweet spot right now.

Richard Juhlin 94
Admittedly, I give a little lower points than, for example, for the 90′, but it still feels positive with a more classic Krug after the monstrous giants 89′ and 90′. The most striking is the razor-sharp acidity that guarantees an extremely long life. Probably the most enduring of all Champagne’s 95’s. Today, the acidity acts as a fantastic breeze of refreshing alpine air. The complexity and finesse are unmistakable. Very strongly reminiscent of Bollinger’s fabulous 95′, but is a bit tougher at the moment. Well, slightly tired the last couple of bottles. Not as good a development as I thought. I hope it is just a phase.
