Tasting Notes
Vinous 94
An unexpected treat, the 1988 Dom Perignon is a fabulous surprise. Here the flavors are bright, focused and tense, with attractive floral and citrus notes that cut through the richness of the chilled lobster appetizer.

Dom Perignon is probably the world’s most famous champagne and the 88′ is a very fine example of how beautiful this wine can be. It is clear in notes like a brilliant diamond. The scent is very fine. I associate with toast, coffee beans and fresh orange-like fruit. The taste is also brilliant with clear sharp uplifting aromas of fruit and nuts. An ultra-sophisticated and fairly light Dom Perignon.
