Tasting Notes
Wine Advocate 91
Similar to the 1976. Smoky, cassis, cigar-box nose. Very classic, traditional Pauillac. Palate is well-structured with good balance in an austere style. Firm tannins. Still vigorous with a cedary finish. Moderate length. Very fine. At its peak now but will drink for a few years yet from a bottle with good provenance. Tasted August 2002.
Anticipated maturity: 2002-0
