The legendary champagne that was the first when Pol Roger stopped mourning Sir Winston and abandoned the mourning band etiquette and instead created this tribute cuvee to the man who was voted the most important person of the last millennium. I have previously only tasted the gem with Christain Pol Roger in the Vinotheque version so it was incredibly exciting to enjoy this magnum with my close friends in Singapore. The mousse was almost non-existent, the color, on the other hand, was completely normal and the wine’s bouquet ultra-typical for exactly the way we have come to expect the house’s prestige champagne to be composed in recent vintages. Extremely dark and cloying with tar, dark chocolate, heavy breadiness, croissant and blue-red fruit. Still magnificent even though a bit of life and energy has been lost over time. We store in LCB Dinton Woods, giving us full control over our stock and client reserves.

The annual charge is £12.50 per 12x75cl (or £6.25 per 6x75cl). To store your wine collection at our Dinton Woods facility, please contact us for a quote.

Delivery

Goods will be delivered to the address provided at order placement, provided it is a shippable address. We reserve the right to cancel orders to non-shippable addresses (e.g., USA dry states).

For UK delivery addresses outside mainland UK (e.g., Scottish Isles, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands), an additional delivery charge may apply. We will contact you with a quote.

Some international delivery addresses may incur additional surcharges. We will contact you with a quote.

We have no control over additional charges or supply restrictions applied by authorities in the destination area.

When placing your order, you may provide delivery instructions in case you are not available to receive the goods.

We require that goods be signed for or accepted by a responsible adult legally able to accept the goods.

Every effort will be made to deliver within 10 days; however, in rare cases, this may be longer.

Orders must be inspected at delivery, and any shortages or breakages should be reported to the carrier immediately before accepting the goods.

We will not be liable for any degradation in the quality of contents or packaging during transport by courier.
